Admission Coordinator
The Admission Coordinator will develop creative methods for raising the profile of the graduate programs of Victoria University and will prospect, develop and implement cooperation with VU partners around the world.
Summary of key responsibilities
·Develop and retain relationships with VU partners.
·Admissions: Promote the School and provide prospective students with advice and information on all VU’s programs.
·Student affairs: Organize housing, insurance and bank affairs for students. Also in charge of liaising with VU partners for students career support as well as organizing extra-curricular activities.
·Communication/Relationship: develop strong relations with students, agents and Swiss agencies (in particular with the cantonal immigration office).
·Marketing: participate in developing creative materials as well as university documents.
The individual
·Post-secondary education, minimum of a bachelors degree in a relevant area.
·Entrepreneurial spirit
·Fluent in both French and English. German is a plus.
·Strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team.
·Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, tact, and good judgment
·Highly developed organizational and time management skills are critical due to the high volume
and constantly shifting nature of work required
·Ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
Student Affairs Officer
The position
The student affairs officer is responsible for fostering a high-quality environment for our students.
The Student affairs officer advises and assists students on various topics and paperwork including housing, health insurance, bank affairs, academic advising, career advising, and personal matters. Coordinates and assists with extra-curricular events. Participates in immigration reporting and processing.
Summary of key responsibilities
•Generally help International students to adjust to Swiss life
•Keep track of student attendance and performance
•Organize welcoming and graduation Ceremonies
•Organize Extra-curricular activities
•Take charge of housing, insurance and bank affairs for students.
•Liaise with Cantonal Immigration office for all immigration matters
•Liaise with local companies to create a network of internship opportunities for our student
•Liaise with placement agencies throughout the world to provide students with career support
•Responsible for building an alumni network
The individual
•Must be fluent in French and English. German a plus
•Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community
•Experience and/or ability to advise students and to help them resolve academic, social and emotional problems and to make appropriate and sensitive referrals. -
•Acumen to assess each student's progress toward degree.
•Interpersonal skills to effectively interact and communicate with students, faculty, staff and the public.
•Writing skills to compose and edit correspondence, reports, reviews, and informational materials to correspond with applicants, faculty, students, student services offices and off-campus agencies and organizations.
•Organizational skills to independently determine workload priorities, and structure the administration of the school programs.
