On November 27, 2010, VictoriaUniversity’s ninth Graduation Ceremony was held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Hong Kong. There were95 graduates this year.


In accordance with tradition, the graduation ceremony was opened by a musical performance of a local Scottish bagpipe band. The music played was of Scottish origin and was full of glory suitable for the occasion.


The official part of the program started with a speech by the Dean of the school, Dr. El Namaki. He spoke about changes graduates had to face in recent years. Dr. El Namaki encouraged the graduates to prepare themselves to this changing environment. He pointed out some of the major changes VictoriaUniversity is facing e.g. a new campus in Neuchâtel.


The next speaker, Director International office Drs. Bart Roelofsen, spoke about the importance of the rise of China and its impact on global business in the 21st century.


The last speaker was Dr. Dai Xulong, the President of the school. He congratulated all students in Mandarin and English. He also spoke about the future of the school.


Next, all graduates were called to receive their certificates. The MBA and DBA diplomas were issued by Dr. El Namaki, Dr. Dai Xulong, and Drs. Bart Roelofsen.


Then Mr. Liu Hanyuan, one of China’s most successful executives, spoke on behalf of all students. He described the school as a warm family and he was very pleased with the business opportunities the school had offered through its network.


Finally, some group photos were taken. The day finished with a tasty dinner and KTV.
